A regression study of the number of efficient extreme points in multiple objective linear programming

چکیده
In this paper we employ regression analysis to construct relationships for predicting the number of efficient extreme points in MOLPs (multiple objective linear programs) with up to 120,000 efficient extreme points, and the CPU time to compute them. Principal among the factors affecting the number of efficient extreme points and CPU time are the number of objectives, criterion cone size, number of constraints, number of variables, and the nonzero density of the constraint matrix. The regression equations show the degree to which interactions are present among the factors and provide a more formal basis for understanding how the complexity of the efficient set, an indicator of the difficulty involved in solving a multiple criteria problem, increases with problem size. 2003 Elsevier B.V. FGP approach to multi objective quadratic fractional programming problem
Multi objective quadratic fractional programming (MOQFP) problem involves optimization of several objective functions in the form of a ratio of numerator and denominator functions which involve both contains linear and quadratic forms with the assumption that the set of feasible solutions is a convex polyhedral with a nite number of extreme points and the denominator part of each of the objecti...
متن کاملCharacterization of efficient points of the production possibility set under variable returns to scale in DEA
We suggest a method for finding the non-dominated points of the production possibility set (PPS) with variable returns to scale (VRS) technology in data envelopment analysis (DEA). We present a multiobjective linear programming (MOLP) problem whose feasible region is the same as the PPS under variable returns to scale for generating non-dominated points. We demonstrate that Pareto solutions o...
متن کاملThe cost and income efficiency models with MOLP structure
In this paper, the cost and income efficiency models have been considered with regard to the multiple objective programming structures. For finding the efficient points in purposed MOLP problem, some various methods like Lexicography & the weighted sum can be used. So by introducing the MOLP problem the cost & income efficiencies will be achieved. In the present study, the MOLP problem is conve...
متن کاملAn L1-norm method for generating all of efficient solutions of multi-objective integer linear programming problem
This paper extends the proposed method by Jahanshahloo et al. (2004) (a method for generating all the efficient solutions of a 0–1 multi-objective linear programming problem, Asia-Pacific Journal of Operational Research). This paper considers the recession direction for a multi-objective integer linear programming (MOILP) problem and presents necessary and sufficient conditions to have unbounde...
متن کاملA New Method For Solving Linear Bilevel Multi-Objective Multi-Follower Programming Problem
Linear bilevel programming is a decision making problem with a two-level decentralized organization. The leader is in the upper level and the follower, in the lower level. This study addresses linear bilevel multi-objective multi-follower programming (LB-MOMFP) problem, a special case of linear bilevel programming problems with one leader and multiple followers where each decision maker has sev...
